Accepting these terms, and changes we make to them
These terms and conditions apply to the Sky Vegas website, the games and services we offer, and the account you hold with us. By registering an account, placing a stake or claiming a promotion, you confirm that you accept them.
Other rules apply alongside these terms, and you should treat them as one set of documents:
- The rules and paytable of each game, as shown in the game itself, govern how that game is played and paid.
- The specific terms of any bonus, free spins or other promotion you claim apply to that offer.
- Our privacy policy explains how we collect and handle your personal information.
- The payment methods, processing times and limits shown in the cashier apply to your deposits and withdrawals.
Where a promotion term and these terms cover the same point, the promotion term applies to that promotion only. In all other cases these terms apply.
We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in our regulatory obligations, new payment methods, or changes to the games and features we offer. The current version is always published on this page with the date it took effect. Where a change materially affects you, we will give you notice by e-mail or by a message when you next sign in. If you continue to use your account after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can ask us to close your account and withdraw any remaining balance, subject to the checks set out below.
Eligibility and your account with us
Who can hold an account
- You must be 18 or over. Gambling by anyone under 18 is an offence, and we check the age of every customer.
- You must be resident in the United Kingdom and able to enter into a binding contract.
- The account must be in your own name, with your own details and your own payment methods.
- You must not be currently self-excluded from our site or registered with the national self-exclusion scheme.
- Our employees, and people who work for the businesses that supply our games and payment services, may not hold accounts.
One account per person
You may hold one account only. If we find that you hold more than one, we may close the additional accounts, void bonus funds and any winnings made from them, and return the deposited balance. Where people share an address or a device, each person must still use their own account and their own payment details.
Accurate details
The details you give us at registration must be true and complete, and you must tell us if they change, for example if you move home or change your e-mail address. If the information you give is false or incomplete, we may suspend the account, void affected bets and hold withdrawals until the position is clear.
Keeping your login safe
Your username, password and security details are personal to you. Do not share them, and do not let anyone else play on your account, as activity under your login is treated as yours. If you think someone else knows your details, change your password and tell us at support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk or through live chat straight away.
Verification checks on your account
We hold a gaming licence and we are required to confirm who our customers are. Before your first withdrawal, and at other points where we are required to do so, we carry out checks on your identity, age and address. The documents we usually ask for are set out below.
- A photographic identity document in your own name, valid and clearly readable.
- A document that confirms your date of birth.
- A recent document showing your address, such as a utility bill or a bank statement.
- Evidence that the payment method you used belongs to you.
We may ask for documents at any time, and we may restrict play or hold a withdrawal until the checks are complete. Where we are required to do so, we may also ask about the source of the funds you are gambling with and request evidence such as payslips or bank statements. If we do not receive what we have asked for, we may suspend the account and return the deposited balance.
Documents you send us
We handle every document in line with our privacy policy, keep it only for as long as we need it, and never ask you for your password.
Deposits, withdrawals and bonus terms
Deposits
You can deposit using the methods shown in the cashier, in your own name. Minimum and maximum amounts, and any fees that apply, are shown there before you confirm. We do not lend money for gambling and we do not offer credit. Funds in your account are for play on our site; the account is not a bank account and does not earn interest.
Withdrawals
Where possible we return funds to the method you used to deposit. If that is not possible, we pay to a bank account in your own name. Processing times and the limits that apply are shown in the cashier. A withdrawal may be held while verification or other checks are outstanding, and we may hold payment where we have reasonable grounds to believe these terms have been breached.
Bonuses and promotions
Every offer carries its own terms, published with the offer and applying alongside these terms. Points that commonly appear include:
| Offer term | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Wagering requirement | How many times bonus funds or winnings must be staked before they can be withdrawn. |
| Maximum stake | The highest stake allowed per spin or hand while a wagering requirement is open. |
| Expiry | The period in which the offer must be claimed and the wagering completed. |
| Game weighting | How much play on each type of game counts towards the requirement. |
Abuse of promotions
Offers are meant for customers playing for entertainment. Where we see duplicate accounts, group play from a shared source, stakes that cover most outcomes of a game, or play designed only to clear a wagering requirement, we may withdraw the offer, void bonus funds and winnings from them, and exclude the account from future promotions.
Safer gambling, and closing or suspending an account
Tools in your account
Our site is for adults only, and we want play to stay within limits you have chosen. From your account you can set deposit limits, take a time-out for a short break, or self-exclude for a longer period. A limit that reduces your spending applies as soon as we process it, while an increase takes effect only after a cooling-off period.
Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline. GamStop lets you exclude yourself from the online gambling sites that take part in the scheme with a single registration.
Closing or suspending an account
You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk or using live chat, and we return any withdrawable balance once the usual checks are complete. Where you have self-excluded, we cannot reopen the account during the period you chose.
We may suspend or close an account where these terms are breached, where the details held are false, where verification is not completed, where we suspect fraud or prohibited activity, or where the account has been inactive for a long period. If an account becomes dormant, we contact you using the details we hold before taking any action on the balance.
Complaints, our responsibility and governing law
Making a complaint
If something has gone wrong, write to support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk or use live chat. Please include the name on your account, what happened and when, and the outcome you are looking for. We acknowledge complaints promptly, look into them within a reasonable time, keep you updated while we do so, and then send you our position in writing with the reasons for it.
If you are still not satisfied
You can refer the matter to the independent dispute resolution service we use. The service is free to you, separate from us, and decides cases under its own published rules. We tell you how to contact it when we send you our final answer.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the site with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of faults, and we are not responsible for problems caused by your own device or connection. If a game or our systems malfunction, affected stakes are returned and affected plays and payouts do not stand. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing here affects the rights you have as a consumer.
