What personal data we collect

We collect personal data directly from you when you register, when you use your account and when you contact us. We also receive data about you from the partners who help us confirm identity, process payments and prevent fraud, and from your device when you use our site or app.

Account details

  • Your name, date of birth and residential address.
  • Your e-mail address and telephone number.
  • Your username, password and the security questions or codes used to protect your account.
  • Your communication and marketing preferences.
  • The messages you send us through live chat or e-mail, and our replies.

Identity and verification documents

To confirm that you are old enough to play and that you are who you say you are, we ask for documents and data such as photo identification, proof of your address, and proof that a payment method belongs to you. We also hold the outcome of the checks our verification partners carry out on our behalf, and, where our duties require it, information about your source of funds.

Transactions and play

  • Deposits, withdrawals and the payment methods you use, as shown in the cashier.
  • Your balance, any adjustments we make and the reasons for them.
  • Bonus and promotion activity, including the terms attached to each offer.
  • Your game, bet and session history, and the limits shown in your account.

Device and usage data

  • Your IP address and the approximate location derived from it.
  • Device type, operating system, browser or app version.
  • Login times, pages and games used, and how our pages perform on your device.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the following purposes, and no others without telling you first:

  1. To open, run and secure your account, including logins, balances, deposits and payouts.
  2. To verify that you are aged 18 or over and that your identity and address are genuine, both when you register and at points afterwards.
  3. To process payments through the methods shown in the cashier and to resolve payment disputes.
  4. To prevent, detect and look into fraud, collusion, bonus misuse and the use of payment methods that do not belong to you.
  5. To meet our anti-money-laundering duties, including checks on activity and source of funds where they apply.
  6. To meet the duties that come with holding a gaming licence, including record-keeping, reporting and responding to lawful requests.
  7. To support safer gambling: applying deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, checking the national self-exclusion scheme, and acting where your play suggests you may be at risk of harm.
  8. To answer your questions and to look into any complaint you raise.
  9. To send you offers, bonuses and product updates by e-mail, text or push message where you have opted in.
  10. To keep our site and games working, fix faults and understand which features our players use.

Safer gambling and your data

Our games are for players aged 18 and over only. You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude from your account at any time, and we keep the records needed to honour those choices. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare, GamStop and the National Gambling Helpline.

Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is needed for the purposes above, and we share it with:

  • Payment and banking providers, so that deposits and withdrawals can be processed and payment disputes settled.
  • Identity-verification, age-verification and fraud-prevention partners, including agencies that confirm your details against public and commercial records.
  • The national self-exclusion scheme, so that a self-exclusion is applied and respected.
  • Game and software suppliers whose products run on our site, where data is needed to deliver the game and settle bets.
  • Technology providers that host our systems and provide security, customer-service, messaging and measurement tools on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers and auditors who are bound by duties of confidence.
  • Our regulator, law enforcement, courts and other public bodies, where the law requires or permits disclosure.
  • Any party involved in a transfer or reorganisation of the business, subject to the same protections set out here.

Providers acting on our behalf may use your data only for the task we give them, under a written contract. Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as approved contractual terms or a finding that the destination offers adequate protection.

How long we keep your personal data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and then for the period that the law and our licensing duties require after it closes. That means closing an account does not delete your records straight away.

  • Verification documents and the results of identity and anti-money-laundering checks are kept for the retention period set by the applicable rules.
  • Transaction, bonus and gameplay records are kept so that we can settle disputes and answer lawful requests.
  • Safer gambling records, including limits, time-outs and self-exclusions, are kept so that your choices continue to be applied and an excluded account is not reopened early.
  • Marketing preferences, including any objection to marketing, are kept so that we do not contact you again in error.
  • Chat and e-mail correspondence is kept for the period needed to handle your query and any complaint arising from it.

When data is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.

Your rights, cookies and how to contact us

The rights you hold

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep.
  • Restriction: ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is settled.
  • Objection: object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to marketing at any time.
  • Portability: ask for the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
  • Withdrawing consent: turn off marketing messages in your account settings or by telling us.

Some rights are limited. Where the law requires us to keep verification, transaction or safer gambling records, we cannot delete them on request, and we will explain which rule applies when we reply.

How to use your rights

Write to us at privacy@casino-skyvegas.co.uk, or contact support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk or the live chat on the site and ask for your message to be passed to our privacy team. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that your data is not disclosed to anyone else. We reply within the period set by data protection law, and there is normally no charge.

Cookies

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, protect your account and measure how our pages perform. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the cookie settings on the site and change that choice later; full details, including the categories we use and how to manage them in your browser, are set out in our Cookie Policy.

Complaints and changes to this policy

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, tell us first so that we can look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection. We may update this policy from time to time; when we make a material change, we will publish the updated version on this page and, where the change affects you, tell you through your account or by e-mail.
