Betting and Game Rules
These rules explain how bets and spins are accepted and settled at Sky Vegas, and what happens when a malfunction, a dropped connection or a bonus affects a round. They apply alongside our Terms & Conditions and the rules built into each individual game.

General rules for your account and your play
You may hold one account with us, registered in your own name and used only by you. Play is for adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence for the games offered on this site and we verify the identity of every account holder.
Your play draws on either your real-money balance or your bonus balance. Where both are available, the order in which funds are used is shown in the cashier and in the terms of the offer the bonus came from.
- One account per person, household, device and payment method. Duplicate accounts may be closed and their play settled as set out in our Terms & Conditions.
- Bets are accepted only within the stake range shown in the game and the limits set on your account.
- A bet or spin is final once you confirm it. It cannot be cancelled, amended or taken back.
- A bet counts as placed when it has been received and recorded by our game servers, not when you click or tap.
- We may decline a bet where the stake falls outside the published range, where funds are not available, or where a game is unavailable to you.
Bets are final
Take a moment before you confirm a stake. Once a round has started we cannot reverse it, even if the stake was larger than you intended. Deposit and loss limits in your account are the way to cap what you can stake.
How bets and spins are settled
Each round is settled on the result recorded by our game server. The screen on your device presents that result; it does not create it. Where the two differ, for example after a graphics fault, the server record stands.
Every game carries its own rules, paytable and payline or hand information in its help or information panel. Those in-game rules decide how wins are formed and paid, and they govern the round.
The theoretical return-to-player figure is shown in each game's information panel. It is a long-term average over a very large number of rounds and says nothing about the outcome of any single session.
| Part of the round | What governs it |
|---|---|
| The outcome of a spin, hand or draw | The result recorded by our game server |
| How a win is calculated and paid | The paytable in the game's information panel |
| Minimum and maximum stakes | The stake range in the game and the limits on your account |
| Long-term return | The return-to-player figure shown in the game |
Winnings are credited once a round is complete. Any figure shown while a round is still open is provisional until the game has finished and the result has been recorded.
Malfunctions, dropped connections and unfinished rounds
A malfunction voids all pays and play
If a game, its software or the systems running it malfunction, all pays and all play in the affected rounds are void. Stakes taken for a void round are returned to the balance they came from.
A malfunction includes a fault in the game software, an error in how a result is generated or shown, and a payout the game's rules do not support. Where a fault has credited an amount in error, we correct the balance and tell you what has been adjusted.
If your connection drops
Rounds are stored on our servers as they are played, so closing the browser, losing signal or shutting the app down does not normally cost you a round.
- An unfinished round is held open and resumes from the same point when you next open the game.
- Where a round cannot be resumed, it is settled on the result already recorded and any win is credited to your balance.
- A round whose stake never reached our servers is treated as not placed, and the stake stays in your balance.
If your balance looks wrong after an interruption, check your game history before placing further bets. It records the stake, the result and the time of each round.
Playing with bonus funds
Bonus funds, free spins and winnings from them follow the terms of the offer they came from, which you can read before opting in and at any time in the promotions area of your account.
- A maximum bet applies while wagering is open. Stakes above it may cost you the bonus and anything won with it.
- Games contribute to wagering at different rates, and some are excluded; the rates are set out in the bonus terms.
- Bonus funds cannot be withdrawn until the wagering attached to them is complete.
- Bonuses and free spins expire at the end of the period stated in the offer. Unused amounts and attached winnings are removed then.
- Playing to clear wagering with little risk, such as covering nearly every outcome on a table game, is not accepted and voids the bonus.
Where a bonus is void, the void covers the bonus balance and winnings traced to it. Money you deposited yourself is not affected.
Live casino and table games
Live tables are dealt by a dealer in a studio and run on the rules published in each table's help panel, including the equipment in use, the side bets offered and the payout for each outcome.
- Bets must be confirmed inside the betting window shown on screen. A stake that arrives after the window closes is not accepted and stays in your balance.
- The dealer's call, together with the result recorded by the table system, settles the round.
- Where a card is misdealt, a result is unclear or equipment fails, the dealer or the studio supervisor may declare the round void, and stakes are returned.
- Table limits, seat availability and the way any autoplay or auto-decision feature behaves are shown at each table.
If a live round is interrupted on our side, it is settled on the result recorded by the table system once service returns. If it is interrupted on your side, your stake stands and the outcome is credited to your balance when you reconnect.
Questions and disputes about a round
If a round looks wrong, contact us before you carry on playing the same game. Use the live chat on the site or write to support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk.
Please include:
- the game or live table name
- the date, time and time zone of the round
- the round reference from your game history
- the stake, the result shown and the result you expected
We look into the round against our server records and the rules of the game, then come back to you with what those records show. Those records are the final record for settlement. If our answer does not settle the matter, our Complaints procedure sets out the next step, including the dispute resolution service named there.
