Cookies Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Sky Vegas site, what each type of cookie does and why it is there. It also sets out how to change your choices at any time, in our cookie notice or in your browser.

What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your computer, phone or tablet. When you come back, your browser sends the file back to us, so we can recognise your device, keep your session running and remember what you chose last time.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way, such as pixels in e-mails and on pages, software kits inside our apps and storage built into your browser. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those technologies too.
We use them for a limited set of purposes:
- Signing you in and keeping you signed in as you move between pages, games and the cashier.
- Security, including spotting unusual sign-in activity and protecting your account and our systems from misuse.
- Account and regulatory duties, such as age and identity verification and making sure the controls set on your account are applied.
- Remembering your settings, including language, sound, display options and whether you have already answered our cookie notice.
- Measuring how the site performs, so we can find slow pages, broken journeys and errors.
- Showing and measuring advertising on other websites, where you have agreed to it.
Cookies set by us are first-party cookies. Some are set by the suppliers who help us run the site, host our games, keep it secure and measure how it is used. Those are third-party cookies, and the supplier may only use the data for the purposes we have agreed with it.
The types of cookies we use
We group cookies into four types. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your agreement; the other three are set when you accept them in our cookie notice.
| Type | Typical purpose | Set without your agreement? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, session security, cashier steps, applying your account limits | Yes |
| Performance and analytics | Counting visits, timing page loads, logging errors | No |
| Functionality | Remembering language, display and chat preferences | No |
| Marketing | Measuring campaigns and tailoring adverts on other sites | No |
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and your account safe. They hold your session while you are signed in, spread traffic across our servers, protect forms from automated abuse, carry you through the cashier and make sure safer gambling settings such as deposit limits, reality checks and a time-out are applied to your account. They also record your cookie choices so that you are not asked again on every page. Because the site cannot be provided without them, they cannot be switched off here.
Performance and analytics
These tell us how the site is used overall: which pages are opened, how long they take to load, where a journey is abandoned and which errors are returned. We use the reports to fix faults and simplify pages. They are not used to make decisions about you as an individual.
Functionality
These remember choices you make, so you do not have to set them again. Examples include your language, sound on or off, the layout of a lobby and whether you have already seen a message. They also support features such as live chat, which needs to keep your conversation attached to the right session.
Marketing
These help us measure whether our advertising works and, where you have agreed, tailor the adverts you see on other websites and social platforms. They may record that you arrived from a particular campaign, or that you opened a page but did not finish an action. We do not use them to advertise to people who have registered with GamStop, or who have self-excluded or closed an account with us, so far as the data available to us allows.
How to manage cookies
You can change your choices at any time, and you do not have to give a reason.
In the cookie notice on our site
- Open the cookie settings shown in the footer of any page.
- Turn each optional type on or off using the switches provided.
- Save your choices. The change applies from the next page you load.
Your choices are stored in a cookie of their own, so clearing your cookies also clears them and the notice will appear again.
In your browser
Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies. The controls sit in the privacy or site settings part of the menu, and the wording differs between browsers. From there you can usually do the following.
- Delete the cookies already stored on your device, either for every site at once or for one site only.
- Block third-party cookies while still allowing the first-party cookies that keep your session running.
- Ask your browser to prompt you each time a site wants to set a cookie, so you can decide case by case.
- Clear your cookies automatically every time you close the browser.
- Browse in a private window, which discards the cookies from that session when you close it.
If you use more than one device or browser, set your preference on each of them. Mobile and tablet operating systems also carry a separate advertising identifier that you can reset or limit in your device settings.
What happens if you block or delete cookies
Blocking optional cookies will not stop you using the site. Blocking strictly necessary cookies, or clearing all cookies part-way through a session, will affect how the site works.
- You may not be able to sign in, or you may be signed out as you move between pages.
- Deposits, withdrawals and verification steps may fail before they finish.
- Settings such as language and sound will reset each time you arrive.
- Live chat may not keep your conversation together.
- Our cookie notice will appear on every visit, because the record of your answer has gone.
Safer gambling tools still apply
Deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, a time-out and self-exclusion are held against your account on our systems, not in a cookie, so they stay in force whatever your browser settings. The same is true of a registration with GamStop.
If a page behaves oddly after you change your settings, clearing the cookies for our site and signing in again usually puts it right.
Changes to this policy and how to reach us
We update this policy when the cookies we use, or the reasons we use them, change. The version on this page is the current one. If a change means we need your agreement again, the cookie notice will ask for it.
If you have a question about this policy, want to know more about a particular cookie, or wish to exercise your data protection rights, contact us by e-mail at support@casino-skyvegas.co.uk or through the live chat on the site. Telling us which browser and device you are using helps us answer accurately. We hold a gaming licence and verify the accounts we open, so we may ask you to confirm your identity before we discuss account details.
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude in your account at any time. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you block yourself from online gambling sites that take part in the scheme.
